April 28 - Runners Fit helped sponsor the Spring Chicken Ekiden Marathon Relay in Gainesville, GA. Close to 150 runners participated in this unique event, with 25 teams finishing. Photos of the relay can be found at http://btp.smugmug.com/gallery/2773877#147697611. Runners Fit fielded a team that finished 4th overall and 2nd in the Open Male division. |

October 19 - Jorge Torres, a professional runner with Reebok, signed autographs and spoke about his life as a professional runner. Jorge accomplishments include winning the 2002 NCAA Division 1 cross country championship while at the University of Colorado and winning the 2006 USA 10,000 meter title. While attending Wheeling High School in Illinois he won the Illinois state meet 3 years and qualified for Footlocker Nationals all four years of high school, winning it in 1998. |
